Basil Newburn | President | Chief Pilot
Basil Newburn is an experienced real estate and aviation professional. In addition to his work with Aviometry, he oversees a portfolio of over 1 million square feet of industrial property in Orange, San Diego, and Riverside Counties in southern California. Basil is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and a licensed California Real Estate Broker (Lic. 02034857).
Basil also has extensive aviation experience and expertise. He holds Remote Pilot, Private Pilot (Instrument Airplane), and Ground Instructor (Advanced) certificates from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and was previously a management consultant specializing in financial planning, public bond issuances, and commercial lease negotiations at major U.S. hub airports.
Basil holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.
Renny Macallister | Pilot
Renny is a Part 107 certified drone pilot with a growing reputation for precision and reliability in commercial property capture. A graduate of University High School, he joined Aviometry shortly after earning his certification and has quickly become a trusted field specialist, particularly adept at capturing large-scale industrial and commercial assets.
Renny has developed a sharp eye for flight path planning, real-time adjustments in dynamic site conditions, and the unique angles that help our clients better understand their buildings. His work supports everything from inspections to marketing to asset documentation.
Entrepreneurial by nature, Renny brings fresh ideas to the field and continually looks for ways to push the boundaries of what our drone systems can capture. Whether it’s experimenting with new flight patterns or streamlining pre-flight processes, he’s always improving the quality and efficiency of our field operations.
